Students selected from 11 regional high schools have been rehearsing weekly, studying jazz techniques under the tutelage of professional working musicians and high school band instructors. The All-Star program was created to inspire the region’s young musicians to experience the joys of America’s original music, jazz. Additionally, the curriculum enhances the programs offered in our schools and provides peer-on-peer collaborations, jam sessions, concert performances, and career opportunities in music.
