The Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society presents GREGOIRE MARET and KENNY WERNER live in concert! The jazz duo will present the TOOTS THIELEMANS CENTENNIAL TRIBUTE! Werner is Thieleman's longtime pianist and Maret is Thieleman's heir apparent on the harmonica.
Celebrating Thieleman's 100th birthday, this tribute will feature songs Thielemans loved to play, including his standard “Bluesette,” but interpreted in new ways. As Maret puts it, the duo will "try to find new places where his spirit is truly honored but his music is being played through a new prism."
The concert takes place on November 4 at the Roots Festival Headquarters on the Fayetteville square.
